Not sure it's an update really, they were out simultaneously. I've got the XP and it's too overweighted, id rather it had a longer head too. Any other options?

Hello, we've just asked our Buyer, Chris Ryan who said: It will all vary a little depending on fishing conditions, water height, speed of flow, and of course the size and weight of your fly, but as a general rule with the Floating VersiTip I would use a longish leader of about 12ft. I would also consider using a tapered 12ft leader like the RIO Salmon leaders (10226) page 78 of the catalogue: www.sportfish.co.uk/rio-steelhead-salmon-leaders.html Then you would shorten the leader length depending which of the sinking VersiTips you were using. Intermediate VersiTip - I would use about 6ft Slow Sink - S3 VersiTip - I would use about 5ft Fast Sink - S6 VersiTip - I would use about 4ft We hope this helps you! Yes , the Agate is a natural material and varies in colour to some degree . Having a slightly different shade from the norm or one with a unique pattern as sometimes happens, gives the reels a unique look. Hope you enjoy using it , they are built to fish , although many end up spending a lifetime on display !.

Hi Bize8880, if you mean short ends of the leader or tippet then yes it will work with this! It won't work for fly line or backing.
